1. What services do you offer?
We offer weekly speech therapy sessions, along with occasional programs in occupational therapy (such as Handwriting Without Tears and Sensory Explorers) and parent training workshops. Each program is designed to support children and families in a warm, affirming environment.
2. How will I know when occupational therapy programs or parent trainings are available?
The best way to stay informed about upcoming OT programs and parent workshops is to join our mailing list. You’ll receive updates about new offerings, session dates, and how to register—right in your inbox!
3. Do you accept insurance?
We are a private pay practice and do not bill insurance directly. This allows us to provide timely, flexible care without delays, denials, or limitations set by insurance companies. However, we are happy to provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement.
4. Are you a nonprofit organization?
Yes! Little Fireflies Pediatric Therapy is a registered nonprofit. This means any surplus funds go directly into our scholarship program, which helps provide therapy services to families with financial need. Donations to Little Fireflies are also tax deductible and help us expand access to care in our community.
5. What are your hours of operation?
We are open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Some seasonal programs or workshops may have additional availability.
6. Do I need a referral from a doctor to start therapy?
No referral is needed to begin services with us. Simply reach out through our contact form or give us a call to start the intake process.
7. What can I expect at the first appointment?
Your child’s first appointment will include a comprehensive evaluation to assess their strengths, needs, and developmental skills. After the assessment, we’ll create a personalized therapy plan and walk you through what services and supports would be the best fit.
8. Can I be involved in my child’s therapy?
Absolutely! We value parent involvement and see you as a key part of the therapy team. We offer regular check-ins, home strategies, and even parent workshops to keep you informed and empowered.
9. How do I apply for the scholarship program?
If you’re interested in applying for reduced-cost services, join our mailing list to stay informed about our next round of scholarships. We offer a limited number of need-based scholarships, funded through donations, grants, and community support.
10. How can I support your nonprofit mission?
We’re so grateful for community support! You can make a tax-deductible donation through our website. Your gift helps expand access to therapy services for families in need across our area.
11. How much do your services cost?
Pricing varies depending on the type of service or program. For detailed information about current rates, please contact the clinic directly—we’re happy to walk you through your options and answer any questions.
